Compare the Strawberry Shortcake Blueberry Muffin figure with the Deluxe Apple Dumplin to decide which scented, poseable collectible fits your shelf and budget.
Quick answer
If you want the best value and a compact, scented figure that still feels poseable and display-ready, the Strawberry Shortcake Blueberry Muffin figure is the stronger pick. Choose the Deluxe Apple Dumplin only if you want the larger accessory set and a removable hat for scene-building. Blueberry Muffin costs less and includes Cheesecake, while Apple Dumplin costs more but brings Teatime Turtle, an apple pie, and a basket.
What you actually get with each figure
The Blueberry Muffin figure is a fully poseable classic Strawberry Shortcake action figure that comes with a removable hat and her best friend Cheesecake. It carries the line’s signature scent, so it reads as a Strawberry Shortcake toy the moment you unbox it. At a catalog price of $14.99 against a $24.99 comparison, it sits in impulse-buy territory for a collector who wants one clean, recognizable character on the shelf.
The Deluxe Apple Dumplin is the same fully poseable, scented approach with a bigger footprint. It includes a removable hat, best friend Teatime Turtle, an apple pie, and a basket. At $27.19 against a $39.99 comparison, it costs more, but the extra props give you more to arrange. The trade-off is simple: Blueberry Muffin gives you a character and a companion; Apple Dumplin gives you a character, a companion, and a small scene.
Where the price difference shows up
The gap between the two is about $12 at catalog prices, and that money buys accessories rather than articulation or scent. Both figures are described as fully poseable and both carry the classic scents, so you are not paying for a better joint system or a stronger smell. You are paying for the apple pie, the basket, and the deluxe labeling on Apple Dumplin.
That makes Blueberry Muffin the better first purchase if you are testing whether you like the line’s scale and scent in person. If you already know you want props for photos or shelf scenes, the deluxe set saves you from hunting down loose accessories later.
How they display together
Both figures share the same classic styling and removable hats, so they mix without looking like two different product lines. Blueberry Muffin’s Cheesecake and Apple Dumplin’s Teatime Turtle are small companion pieces, which means you need a little surface area for each figure plus its pet. The deluxe set needs more room because of the pie and basket.
If your shelf is tight, start with Blueberry Muffin and add Apple Dumplin later. If you are building a dedicated Strawberry Shortcake shelf, the deluxe set gives you more visual variety right away.
Trade-offs at a glance
- Blueberry Muffin price vs. extras: Blueberry Muffin is $14.99 against a $24.99 comparison price and includes Cheesecake, but it does not include the pie or basket found in the deluxe set. Best if you want one affordable, scented figure without extra props.
- Apple Dumplin accessories vs. cost: Apple Dumplin is $27.19 against a $39.99 comparison price and adds Teatime Turtle, an apple pie, and a basket, but you pay roughly $12 more than Blueberry Muffin. Best if scene-building and extra accessories matter more than saving money.
- Scent and articulation are shared: Both figures are described as fully poseable and both feature the classic scents, so neither option wins on articulation or smell. Decide based on price and accessories, not on poseability or scent.
