The back of the box showcases the figure's features and includes a brief character bio, adding to the collectible appeal.

The first thing you notice is the weight of the figure; it feels substantial and well-built, reassuring you of its quality. The paint application is crisp, with no slop or bleeding, and the sculpt details are sharp, from the chainmail bikini to the intricate sword design.

Sculpt and Paint: A She-Devil Done Right

The sculpt of the Red Sonja figure is a standout. The face is beautifully detailed, capturing Red Sonja's fierce beauty with a determined expression. Her hair is sculpted in a wild, wind-blown style that adds a sense of motion. The body is well-proportioned, with realistic muscle definition that fits the character's warrior persona. The chainmail bikini is intricately sculpted, with each link visible, and the leather straps and belts are also detailed.

The paint work is equally impressive. The skin tone is natural, with subtle shading that adds depth. The metallic parts, such as the sword and armor, have a realistic sheen, and the red hair is vibrant. The eyes are painted with precision, giving the figure a lively look. There's a slight wash on the muscles and armor that enhances the details without looking dirty, a technique that adds to the overall realism.

• Detailed face with fierce expression
• Realistic muscle definition
• Intricate chainmail and leather details
• Natural skin tone with shading

Articulation: Posing the She-Devil

Articulation is where the Epic H.A.C.K.S. line shines, and Red Sonja is no exception. She features over 30 points of articulation, including a ball-jointed head, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles. The joints are tight but not stiff, allowing for a wide range of dynamic poses without fear of breakage. The double-jointed knees and elbows provide extra flexibility, and the torso has a ball joint that allows for a good range of twisting and bending.

I was able to achieve a variety of poses, from a classic sword-wielding stance to a more acrobatic pose with her leg raised. The articulation allows for natural movement, and the figure can hold her sword and shield securely thanks to the well-designed hands. Whether you're a diorama builder or just like to pose your figures, you'll find plenty of options with Red Sonja.

• 30+ points of articulation
• Double-jointed knees and elbows
• Secure grip on accessories
• Wide range of motion for dynamic poses

Accessories: The Full Arsenal

Red Sonja comes with a generous set of accessories that enhance her playability and display options. She includes her iconic sword, a shield with a detailed emblem, a dagger, and an alternate head with a helmet. The sword is sculpted with intricate details, including a gem in the pommel, and the shield features a raised design that looks great. The dagger is a nice addition for close-quarters combat poses.

The alternate helmeted head is a fantastic bonus, allowing you to switch between a fierce, bare-headed look and a more armored appearance. The accessories are easy to swap, and the figure can hold each one securely. This makes the figure feel like a complete package, offering great value for the price point.

• Sword with gem detail
• Shield with emblem
• Dagger
• Alternate helmeted head

Comparison to Other Epic H.A.C.K.S. Figures

Series Z figures, but with unique sculpting that sets her apart. Her articulation is on par with the best in the line, and her accessories are comparable in quality.

If you're building a collection of Epic H.A.C.K.S. figures, Red Sonja is a must-have.
