Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S. King of Asperity: 10th Anniversary Figure Guide

Quick answer

If you already collect Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S. or want a display-ready fantasy figure with modern articulation, the 10th Anniversary King of Asperity is a straightforward pickup. It updates a fan-favorite character with new articulation, a new head, and added accessories. The main tradeoff is that it is an adult collectible, not a toy for young children.

What the 10th Anniversary version actually changes

Boss Fight Studio is marking its first Kickstarter milestone by releasing updated versions of favorite H.A.C.K.S. characters, and King of Asperity is one of them. The catalog description is specific: this release includes new articulation, a new head, and accessories designed to help him win the battle. Those are the three concrete differences to check against any earlier version you may already own. If you missed the original run or want the most current build of the character, this is the version to look for.

How he fits with other Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S. figures

The H.A.C.K.S. system is built around mixing, matching, and making your own figures, so the King of Asperity is not a standalone piece. If you already own Spartan Warriors or Gorgons, he can share a shelf and a storyline with them. The Myrmex Warrior is another blister-carded 4-inch figure in the same scale, which makes it a natural companion if you want to build out a battle scene rather than display one character alone.

The practical side: price, packaging, and care

King of Asperity is listed at USD 19.87 against a catalog comparison price of USD 27.99, so the value case is easy to check at checkout. Like other figures in this line, it is sold blister-carded with accessories and a Boss Fight Figure Stand, and the catalog notes these figures are adult collectibles. That means you should treat small parts as a choking hazard and keep the figure out of reach of young children. For display, the included stand helps with dynamic poses, but the new articulation is what makes those poses worth attempting.

Where paint masters and gallery pieces fit

If you are building a Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S. checklist, it helps to separate production figures from gallery items. The Fantasy Series Vandar Paint Master is a different kind of purchase: it is a fragile, non-production piece sold as-is, and only two are made for each figure. King of Asperity is a standard blister-carded release you can open and pose. Vandar is a display-only artifact for collectors who want a piece of Boss Fight history. Knowing which category you are shopping in prevents an expensive mismatch.

King of Asperity FAQ

Is the 10th Anniversary King of Asperity a new figure or a re-release?

It is an updated version of a favorite H.A.C.K.S. character released to celebrate the line's 10th anniversary. The catalog lists new articulation, a new head, and accessories as the changes. Buy this version if you want the current build; skip it only if you already own the original and do not care about the updates.

What accessories come with King of Asperity?

The catalog describes accessories that help him win the battle, plus the standard Boss Fight Figure Stand that ships with blister-carded H.A.C.K.S. figures. The stand alone is worth having if you pose figures on a shelf.

Can kids play with this figure?

No. The catalog explicitly labels these figures as adult collectibles. Small parts and accessories create a choking hazard for young children. Keep it on a high shelf or in a display case if you have small kids at home.

Does King of Asperity work with other Vitruvian H.A.C.K.S. figures?

Yes. The H.A.C.K.S. system is designed for mixing, matching, and making your own figures, so he can share parts and scenes with other 4-inch figures in the line. Pair him with Spartan Warriors, Gorgons, or the Myrmex Warrior for a fuller display.
