Bur’Zagi - Mighty Orc Sovran

Historical Documentation

A fabled Orc leader, Bur’Zagi formed his own personal warband, the Minar Bilatsen (Pain Seekers) and led them into battle. Rather than do what Orcs had done for generations and recruit his own kinsmen, Bur’Zagi sought out the finest, toughest and deadliest Orcs from all of the different tribes. Whether from the Blasted Lands Orcs, the bestial Orc hunters or the Ice Orcs of Izotzdia, he encouraged them to undertake the most perilous journeys, face their darkest fears and fight in the grandest battles. These challenges, he believed, would make his followers unbeatable and forge them into true warriors rather than the traditional orc conqueror. For some time, he was proven correct, until he made the decision that was to be his ruin. Bur’Zagi was extremely strong and hardy, surpassing all others in physical attributes. He was also a fine tactician, but in the end fatally underestimated one foe in particular.

Temporal Log

Bur’Zagi’s name is revered to this day by the Orcs as one who could have conquered the known world. His end was an ignominious defeat from which Orc kind has never recovered. Coveting the fabled jewels of Ailewi, the faerie cavern, he attacked that underground world with his followers, confident that the tiny faeries were no threat to his hand-picked raiders. The cavern faeries stood their ground, wiping out his carefully trained troops with their magic and making an example of the captured Bur’Zagi. He was entombed alive in a large crystal on the hills overlooking a valley that later came to bear his name. He remains there still, perfectly preserved and clearly visible to anyone who passes through the valley of Bur’Zagi on their way to Ailewi or the Blasted Lands further south.

Michael ★★★★★

Articulation on this Bur’Zagi is insane—those shoulder pauldrons and the sculpted fur texture make him look like he stepped right off the war council dais. The heft feels solid in hand, and his face sculpt carries that fierce orc menace without looking goofy. Easily the centerpiece of my shelf right

Eli ★★★★★

The paint apps on Bur’Zagi’s face are brutally detailed—you can see the scars and war paint up close without any slop. Fits perfectly with my other H.A.C.K.S. figures to recreate the Minar Bilatsen’s charge.

Sebastian ★★★★★

The articulation on those joints is way better than I expected for a figure this loaded with armor, and the sculpting on the face really sells the whole "Mighty Orc Sovran" vibe. It’s got serious shelf presence next to my other fantasy figures, and the paint apps are clean enough that I don't mind t
